Remodeling & Additions
No matter if it’s a complete home renovation or a simple “face lift”, your home or cabin can take on a completely new feeling and be functionally enhanced. You may have developed traditions here, and we understand the preservation of those memories.
Whether you just want a little extra elbow room or need to add some “real space”, we can build an addition that functions and feels like it’s been there the whole time. We’ll also do everything possible to minimize your inconvenience during the process.
In our photo gallery below you'll find before and after photos and explanations to what was done to
enhance each project.

These photos show a family owned cabin that the current owner inherited. The owner’s grandfather had built the original cabinets, so we recreated new cabinets as close as possible to restore those memories of Grandpa. A new double car garage was added and the old roof was replaced with a steeper pitched roof to provide second floor living space of two bedrooms, a bath and loft area with a dramatic vaulted ceiling. New windows in the gable provide a panoramic sunset view. |

New Loft |
The above cabin was originally purchased in 1950 by the current owner’s grandfather, of whom he has many fond memories. He wanted to keep as much of the old as possible, but wanted more modern amenities. The entire roof was torn off and new modern kitchen, bath and laundry rooms with a loft above were added. The old living/kitchen/dining area is now one large family living space. Some of the old interior pine paneling and windows were kept to preserve those memories of “going to Grandpa’s cabin”. |

Additional Before and Afters
This cabin received new half log siding, windows and doors and a stoop above the walkout sliding door. |
This existing home had a turret, so we incorporated the same design on an addition with a turret on the roof to blend the new with the old. The new addition added a trophy room with pool table and bar areas. The new outdoor living space included a new, larger deck with hot tub and lakeside landscaping. The yard had a fairly steep hill to the lake, so we added boulder retaining walls and steps. |
To the left is the before photo. This cabin received a log addition for a master bedroom and bath, office and sun porch. As shown in the after photos below, the paint was stripped from the logs on the original cabin. The logs on the old cabin and new addition were then sealed to show the natural beauty of the logs. |
On this cabin, the car port was enclosed to add living space. The cabin also received new windows, siding and shingles. |
The interior wall paneling was removed and replaced with pine tongue and groove paneling on the walls and ceilings and new
6-panel pine doors were installed to give the cabin an updated look. |
